MSAT – Process Expert Mammalian Cell Culture DSP, Ibex

Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking a Process Expert in Mammalian Cell Culture Downstream Processing (DSP) for their Ibex® Solutions team in Visp, Switzerland. The company specializes in developing and manufacturing biological solutions that improve lives worldwide. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to ensure the successful scale-up, supervision, and optimization of mammalian processes in large-scale manufacturing. The Process Expert will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, from planning to completion. This includes technology transfers, process design, and up-scaling, as well as ensuring process scalability and manufacturability. The role also involves acting as a liaison between process donors, such as customers and process development teams, and operations. Additionally, the expert will work on capital investment projects, providing necessary inputs for manufacturing processes and implementing these processes in the plant. Direct interaction with customers during technology transfers, campaign preparation, and execution is also a key part of the job. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, with a PhD being preferred. The ideal candidate will have studied Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. More than five years of experience in biopharma manufacturing or process development, with a focus on mammalian manufacturing, is required. Proficiency in both English and German is essential, along with a deep understanding of GMP and bioprocess technology. Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a structured and organized working attitude, are crucial.
