Customs Administrator (d/f/m)

The Customs Administrator role sits within a worldwide Supply Chain team of a fashion‑focused company, acting as the bridge between internal units, external logistics partners and the firm’s overseas sites. Based in Switzerland, the position supports the flow of goods across borders. Daily tasks involve overseeing inbound and outbound shipments, preparing and checking all paperwork required for export and customs clearance, and guaranteeing that movements comply with legal standards. The incumbent will manage logistics providers, serve as the primary contact for production locations and internal stakeholders on customs matters, keep customs‑related master data up to date, and liaise with Swiss and German customs offices, freight forwarders and agencies. Participation in audits, contribution to cross‑functional projects and continuous improvement of procedures are also expected. Applicants need a completed commercial or business apprenticeship together with further studies in freight forwarding, logistics, customs, foreign trade or Supply Chain Management. Several years of hands‑on experience in customs or international import‑export operations are required, as is solid knowledge of trade regulations and the handling of import/export processes. Fluency in German and English, strong organizational and communication abilities, a proactive and structured work style, and comfort with ERP tools—preferably SAP S/4HANA—and Microsoft Office are essential. Experience with tariff classification, free‑trade agreements, customs clearance software and a genuine interest in fashion and lifestyle are advantageous.
