Founder's Associate

The Founder's Associate role at Laelaps AI involves working closely with the founding team on various aspects of the company's growth and operations, with a strong focus on go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Laelaps AI is dedicated to developing intelligent software for physical security, leveraging advancements in AI, cloud computing, and hardware to create autonomous systems that handle critical and dangerous tasks, making the world safer and more secure. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Founder's Associate are diverse and include identifying potential customers, developing outreach strategies, and managing the architecture of the system. The role involves creating and maintaining agentic systems, monitoring market trends, and developing campaign materials. Additionally, the associate will work on growth and funnel models, manage the CRM system, and handle various administrative tasks as needed. The role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to handle ambiguous tasks with no clear process or right answer. To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field, a strong commercial instinct, and proficiency in using AI coding agents for daily tasks. Fluency in both German and English is essential, with a preference for native or near-native German speakers. The ability to work in Zurich, Switzerland, with the right to work in the country, is also required. Candidates should be comfortable with inheriting and understanding systems they did not design and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high quality and speed. Nice-to-have skills include experience in prospecting or selling into industry, critical infrastructure, or defense, as well as comfort with Figma and CRM systems like Attio. Experience in a startup or early-stage company, particularly as an early hire, is also beneficial. Knowledge of Swiss German is an additional plus.
