Senior Compiler Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Compiler Engineer to join its CPU compiler organization, which builds the toolchains that unlock the performance of NVIDIA’s Grace CPUs for the world’s largest AI and high‑performance computing workloads. The team’s work touches every CPU, GPU, DPU and SoC that the company delivers, and the role sits at the heart of the company’s data‑center and super‑computing technologies. In this position you will collaborate with a globally distributed partner group to analyze, modify and enhance the compiler software stack for NVIDIA’s CPUs. Your day will involve adding new features and optimization passes aimed at Grace processors, interacting with upstream and open‑source communities, and producing compiler code that is tuned for maximum speed. You will also contribute to the evolution of future CPU micro‑architectures while working alongside a high‑performing engineering group. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline, or possesses equivalent experience, and brings more than twelve years of hands‑on compiler development in a production setting. You must be familiar with language front‑ends, optimization techniques and code‑generation modules, and demonstrate strong C++ programming abilities together with excellent written and spoken communication skills. Additional strengths include experience with CPU architectures such as Arm (AArch32/AArch64), RISC‑V, x86_64, PowerPC or DSPs, a proven record of contributions to LLVM or similar compiler infrastructures, and knowledge of AI algorithms or scientific HPC code patterns. Meaningful involvement in open‑source compiler projects is also valued. NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, and the chance to work with some of the most innovative engineers in a rapidly expanding, diversity‑focused environment.
