Head of Global LIMS Team (f/m/d)

Bavarian Nordic, a global vaccine company, is seeking a Head of Global LIMS Team to lead their Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) initiatives. The company focuses on developing, manufacturing, and commercializing innovative vaccines to protect lives through public health partnerships and expanded access to disease prevention. They work across various areas, including emerging infectious diseases, travel health, and public health preparedness. The Head of Global LIMS Team will oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of the LIMS system. This involves harmonizing and validating the system, managing data migration, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires leading a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with departments such as Quality, IT, Data, Engineering, and Digital Transformation. Key responsibilities include advancing laboratory automation, ensuring data integrity, and managing global processes, governance, and budgets. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a master's degree or equivalent in life sciences, IT, laboratory informatics, or a related field. Extensive leadership experience in laboratory informatics, LIMS, or Quality Control within regulated life sciences is essential. This includes direct and matrix leadership across multiple sites. Proven experience in delivering multisite LIMS transformations, covering process harmonization, migration, validation, and change management, is also required. Strong knowledge of laboratory automation, system integration, GxP, data integrity, and risk-based quality management is crucial. Fluency in English and strong stakeholder, vendor, and budget management skills are necessary. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to combine strategic vision with practical execution and sound technical judgment.
