CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist - Remote

The position of CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist is offered by a company that develops datasets for training artificial‑intelligence models. The role is a remote contractor job that relies on deep engineering and CAD knowledge to supply high‑quality mechanical design data for AI research. Every day the specialist will create, edit and verify parametric models in FreeCAD, ensuring geometric precision and adherence to engineering standards. A varied collection of parts, assemblies and design variants will be built to enrich the AI training set. The work includes applying GD&T rules, performing thorough CAD quality checks, correcting dimensional or modeling errors, and integrating reviewer feedback while keeping consistency across all deliverables. Where possible, Python scripts will be used to automate repetitive tasks, and all modeling steps, decisions and validation outcomes will be documented for reproducibility and transparency. The final models will be assessed against real‑world manufacturing requirements and accompanied by accurate metadata. Applicants must have at least two years of experience in mechanical design, CAD modelling, manufacturing or industrial engineering, with proven competence in FreeCAD or an equivalent parametric CAD tool. They need solid skills in parametric modelling, mechanical design principles, GD&T application and CAD validation. A clear understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to produce detailed technical documentation are required, as is a meticulous approach to quality and data integrity. Effective written and spoken communication for remote collaboration is also essential. Additional assets include the ability to write Python or other CAD‑related scripts, familiarity with common manufacturing techniques, and strong communication skills for explaining complex CAD issues to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
