Senior Java Fullstack Engineer

As a Senior Java Fullstack Engineer you will join a multidisciplinary team that delivers complex, regulated projects in sectors such as health and finance, using modern, agile methods to turn customer ideas into robust web and enterprise applications. Your daily work will revolve around close collaboration with customers, visiting sites two to three times a week, to capture business needs and translate them into high‑quality software. You will write clean, maintainable code together with teammates through pair‑ and mob‑programming, and mentor the group to raise overall capability. The role also covers the full software lifecycle: from ideation, through DevOps‑driven development, automated testing (TDD, specification by example) and continuous delivery, to production support. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and sharing insights with the team is an expected part of the job. To succeed, you must hold a Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, and have more than four years of proven Java development experience with solid object‑oriented fundamentals. You need hands‑on expertise with modern JavaScript/TypeScript front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React, and deep knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, micro‑services and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Experience working in agile teams, using AI‑augmented engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), and strong communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1) are also required.
