Sustainability Manager - Pharma

Quantis, a BCG company, is a leading sustainability consultancy that helps organisations turn complex environmental challenges into strategic advantage. As a Sustainability Manager focused on client relationships within the pharmaceutical sector, you will be at the centre of Quantis’ effort to embed science‑driven sustainability into business decisions for major pharma players. In this role you will steer client engagements, oversee large accounts and manage intricate projects, while actively seeking new business opportunities and co‑creating solutions that match client priorities. You will design and execute account strategies, coordinate with internal experts to ensure consistent delivery, and work alongside senior consultants and junior team members to produce high‑impact outcomes. Mentoring junior colleagues and gradually taking on line‑management duties are also part of the day‑to‑day mix. The position requires four to eight years of relevant experience, preferably in sustainability or consulting for pharma or life‑science firms, and a solid network in that sector. You must have a clear grasp of the key challenges facing pharmaceuticals, proven project‑management skills, and strong competence with Excel and PowerPoint. A master’s degree—or equivalent experience—in fields such as environmental science, engineering, business or economics is essential, as is fluency in English; French or German are advantageous. You should be intellectually curious, science‑oriented, comfortable using generative‑AI tools, and eager to coach and collaborate with teammates. Additional assets include broader corporate sustainability knowledge, familiarity with pharma‑specific sustainability frameworks, and the ambition to eventually lead larger teams and become a Sustainability Principal. The role is permanent, based in Lausanne or Zurich, with a hybrid work model, occasional client‑site visits and travel, and a start date in Q3/Q4 2026.
