Security systems technician

The role is a Security Systems Technician for a Swiss company specializing in electronic security and safety solutions. The company offers integrated technologies and services, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and cloud security solutions. They support clients across various sectors, such as data centers, industry, logistics, finance, retail, and critical infrastructure, covering the full project lifecycle from system design to maintenance. The main day-to-day responsibilities include installing, configuring, and commissioning electronic security systems. This involves performing testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions, as well as supporting system upgrades and modifications. The technician will work primarily with CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems, reading and interpreting technical drawings and system documentation. They will also coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and customers, supporting projects through installation, commissioning, and final handover. The must-have requirements include proven experience in electronic security systems, strong hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and commissioning, and a good understanding of IP networks and low-voltage installations. The role requires the ability to work independently on customer sites, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and a technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, automation, low-voltage systems, IT, or a related field. English is required. Nice-to-have skills include hands-on experience and ideally certification on one or several of the following technologies: Genetec, Lenel / LenelS2, PACOM, Milestone, Axis. Experience with comparable security platforms will also be considered.
