Robotics Hardware Intern

Embodied AI, a fast‑moving robotics startup, is looking for a Robotics Hardware Intern to join its hardware engineering team. The position focuses on helping design, prototype, and test the physical parts and systems that power the company’s robots, offering a hands‑on introduction to mechanical design, electronics, and system integration. On a daily basis the intern will assist in creating mechanical structures, electronic boards, sensors and actuators for robotic platforms. Tasks include assembling prototypes, running performance tests, analysing data to boost hardware reliability, and contributing to the setup of a new robotics and mechanical laboratory in Italy. The role also involves drafting documentation such as hardware specifications, assembly guides and test procedures, while collaborating closely with senior engineers to marry hardware components with software controls. Candidates must be pursuing or have completed a Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Robotics, Automotive or Aerospace. They should have practical experience with CAD tools for mechanical design, preferably Fusion 360, and be comfortable with rapid‑prototyping methods like 3‑D printing or laser cutting. Strong analytical and debugging abilities are required, as is fluency in English. Extra points are given to applicants who enjoy building things in their spare time and can showcase personal projects.
