Specialist - Footwear Testing - Performance

On is a performance‑focused brand that relies on Product Testing to act as the athlete’s and consumer’s voice, guaranteeing that every offering meets premium quality and delivers high‑performance results. The Footwear Testing Specialist will join the Zurich‑based Testing Department, acting as a consultant for Running & Performance projects and partnering with design, development and materials teams to ensure product excellence before launch. In this role you will design and carry out comprehensive testing plans that cover durability, fit, comfort and overall performance across all test stages. You will streamline testing cycles, create feedback loops that match project timelines, and work closely with Sports Science and Lab groups to develop full‑circle protocols. Daily tasks include collaborating with stakeholders to define testing needs, analysing data to produce insightful reports, leading both qualitative and quantitative footwear studies, and delivering corrective action plans when results fall short. You will also maintain a network of testers, organise community‑engagement events, support the Testing Lead in building institutional partnerships, and manage testing databases to ensure high‑quality data flows into final reports. Candidates need at least two to three years of experience focused on the human interaction with a product or service, with backgrounds such as footwear or sportswear testing, retail, biomechanics, kinesiology or UX research. A strong passion for performance sports, the ability to manipulate large data sets with advanced analysis tools, and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, a collaborative mindset, flexibility to work beyond regular hours, willingness to travel occasionally for consumer testing, and fluency in English are also required.
