Finance Manager / Accountant

Future Kitchens powers a network of virtual food brands that operate through partner restaurants across Switzerland. The company creates delivery‑first concepts such as SmashClub® and KNOCKOUT® and connects them to more than 55 restaurant locations, with plans to expand further. The Finance Manager / Accountant will sit at the heart of this fast‑growing food‑tech business, reporting straight to the CEO and collaborating closely with Growth and Operations teams. The role covers full ownership of the finance function. You will manage the entire accounting cycle, from accounts payable and receivable to month‑end close, VAT filing and compliance with Swiss OR regulations. Weekly payouts to partner restaurants must be reconciled against platform revenue from services like Just Eat, Uber Eats and Wolt, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for management, the board and investors, and design real‑time dashboards that display revenue, margins and store‑level performance. In addition, you will build an automated accounting product for partners, eliminating manual spreadsheet work, and run the internal payroll, handling salaries, social insurance contributions and tax withholdings. The employer requires a solid commercial or finance qualification (Fachausweis Finanz‑ und Rechnungswesen or equivalent) and at least three years of hands‑on accounting experience in Switzerland, preferably in a high‑transaction environment such as gastronomy, retail, e‑commerce or marketplaces. You must be fluent in Swiss accounting standards (OR), VAT and payroll, and possess a strong systems mindset that favours automation over repetitive tasks. Proficiency with modern accounting tools like Bexio or Abacus, as well as advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities, is essential. The position also demands fluent German and professional‑level English. Nice‑to‑have experience includes working with delivery‑platform reporting and reconciliation, building finance processes from the ground up in a startup or scale‑up, and exposure to AI‑assisted or no‑code automation platforms such as Make or Zapier. The role offers full ownership of finance at one of Switzerland's quickest‑growing food‑tech firms, a greenfield mandate to create an automated accounting service for 55‑plus partners, direct access to the CEO, and a collaborative team based in Zürich that values shipping over endless meetings.
