AI Engineer

Join Crypto Finance's Data & Analytics team in Zurich's Prime Tower as an AI Engineer. The company builds B2B digital‑asset solutions for the blockchain and fintech space, and you will help steer its AI strategy by turning ideas into production‑grade models and automation while shaping the firm's AI governance framework. In this hybrid role you will work with stakeholders from Compliance, Trading, Operations, Legal, Sales and Finance to discover, scope and prioritize AI use cases that deliver measurable impact. You will design and deliver deterministic automations, AI agents, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems and structured extraction pipelines, and you will maintain a reusable library of prompts and skills. You will also keep the company‑wide AI inventory up to date, run the AI approval workflow, and review new AI proposals for risk and design quality. On the data side you will extend ELT pipelines using Dagster, SQLMesh and dlt, create feature views, document indexes and event tables, and manage infrastructure‑as‑code in Git. The position requires three to six years of relevant experience and a proven record of shipping production LLM applications, including structured extraction and agentic patterns. You must be fluent in Python and able to write production‑ready code, not just notebooks. A solid grasp of LLM evaluation (test sets, regression testing, observability), retrieval concepts and hallucination mitigation is essential. You need hands‑on experience with at least one orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow or Prefect) and one transformation framework (SQLMesh or dbt), as well as strong SQL skills (window functions, joins, query design). Cloud experience, preferably on GCP and BigQuery, is expected, together with professional English proficiency and the legal right to work in Switzerland (Swiss permit or EU/EFTA citizenship). Nice‑to‑have experience includes prior work in regulated financial services, crypto or comparable model‑risk environments, and German language skills are considered a plus.
