Senior Actuarial Analyst (Economic Modelling & Statistics)

Zurich Switzerland is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to focus on economic modelling and statistics for their life insurance business. The company specializes in life insurance and financial services, aiming to enhance economic valuation and financial reporting through advanced analytics and automation. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving economic valuation models. This includes ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of actuarial metrics for IFRS 17 and SST. The role involves translating complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for senior management. Additionally, the analyst will lead and contribute to key actuarial projects, initiatives, and ad-hoc analyses, and will work on automating and enhancing actuarial processes and models. To qualify, candidates must hold a university degree in actuarial science, mathematics, physics, or a related quantitative field. They should be fully or nearly qualified actuaries (SAA/SAV or equivalent) with relevant professional experience in actuarial or analytical roles. Strong technical and analytical skills, including experience with modelling, data, and automation tools, are essential. Fluency in English and excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required. Nice-to-have skills include experience with tools such as SQL, PROPHET, Python, and R. The role is based in Oerlikon, Zurich, and offers a hybrid working arrangement with up to 40% remote work. The position is available from November 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement, and no travel is required.
