Banquet Supervisor (M/F/D)

Mandarin Oriental Savoy Zurich, an award‑winning luxury hotel situated in the historic Old Town and close to Lake Zurich, is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to join its Food & Beverage team. The property features 80 rooms and suites, three dining venues and a newly renovated historic ballroom that hosts weddings, conferences and other corporate events. In this role you will act as the right hand to the Assistant Banquet Manager, guaranteeing that banquet operations run smoothly and that every function follows the agreed Banquet Event Order. Daily duties include coordinating with sales, culinary and other hotel departments, overseeing set‑up and breakdown, monitoring pre‑ and post‑event arrangements, and providing personal assistance and advice to guests. You will also handle guest feedback, resolve complaints and maintain the high service standards expected by the brand. The position requires completed vocational training in the upscale hotel or catering sector and preferably one to two years of experience in a comparable role. Candidates must be expressive, open‑minded, and thrive in a team environment, with strong written and spoken communication skills. A solid awareness of quality, good computer proficiency and familiarity with cash‑register systems are essential, as are polished manners, a well‑groomed appearance and a charismatic attitude. Flexibility for night, weekend and holiday shifts is required, together with very good German and English; additional language abilities are a plus.
