IWS (Operational Excellence) Trainee (m/f/d)

JTI Dagmersellen offers a 12‑month IWS (Operational Excellence) Trainee program that can lead to a permanent position. The company, a worldwide leader in the tobacco sector with more than 45 000 staff in 130 nations, focuses on innovative production methods and continuous improvement. During the year you will work side‑by‑side with the production crew, helping to launch a new Operational Excellence framework and encouraging a shift toward flatter hierarchies and servant‑leadership principles. Daily tasks include analysing production data, supporting process‑analysis projects, contributing to quarterly planning, and stepping in for senior team members when required. You will also share knowledge about tools and systems, and coach colleagues to raise their technical capabilities. The role is aimed at recent graduates—within the past two years—holding a degree in Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline, and who have up to 18 months of post‑graduation experience. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, as is a quick learning pace, strong analytical abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for problem‑solving and continuous improvement. Candidates should be open, willing to challenge the status quo, and eager to voice ideas passionately. The trainee will be mentored by the IWS Manager and supported by a collaborative team that values open feedback and personal development.
