Supplier Quality Engineer

ANYbotics is a rapidly expanding tech company focused on advancing mobile robotics across various industries. The company is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage the quality of suppliers for critical mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic components. This role is crucial as ANYbotics scales its production and introduces new products. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the quality of suppliers from the initial qualification stage through to production and continuous improvement. This involves working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. The engineer will also spend time directly with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues at their source. The role requires hands-on work, including defining processes, conducting audits, driving corrective actions, and ensuring that improvements are implemented and sustained. To qualify for this position, candidates must have at least five years of experience in supplier quality management, particularly with complex mechatronic products. They should have hands-on experience conducting supplier audits and driving corrective actions to closure. A strong understanding of root-cause analysis, 8D, and structured problem-solving methods is essential. Experience in defining and negotiating supplier quality requirements, including Quality Assurance Agreements, is also required. The ability to work effectively across different departments and challenge suppliers when necessary is crucial. Willingness to travel to suppliers and spend time on-site is a must. Nice-to-have skills include experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 80079-34, particularly in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with statistical quality tools such as SPC, Cpk/Ppk, and Pareto analysis is also beneficial.
