The HSE Manager (GCB) at Hitachi in Zurich will oversee the implementation and ongoing enhancement of health, safety, and environmental processes within the Global Business Center. This role involves conducting daily risk assessments, investigating incidents, and delivering safety training sessions. The manager will also ensure adherence to Swiss and international regulations, collaborating with operations, engineering, and senior management to integrate HSE best practices into project planning, procurement, and daily operations. Performance metrics will be reported to the regional HSE leadership team. The main responsibilities include leading the implementation of HSE processes, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role also involves partnering with various departments to embed HSE best practices and reporting performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of HSE management experience in a multinational industrial environment. Proficiency in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Swiss HSE legislation is required. Strong leadership and communication skills in English and German are essential, as is the ability to drive cultural change in a fast-moving technology company.
