Project Engineering Manager

The Project Engineering Manager role involves leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary engineering teams across large Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. This includes overseeing the engineering scope from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, technical specifications, and contractual obligations. The main day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders and suppliers to drive project execution, implementing engineering strategies, quality plans, and cost controls, and maintaining project timelines, deliverables, and documentation quality. The role also involves overseeing technical risk management, issue resolution, and change control, as well as reporting to the Project Director and aligning engineering efforts with commercial goals. To excel in this role, candidates must have extensive technical expertise in plant construction and industrial engineering, with a strong passion for engineering and the ability to inspire and drive technical teams. Effective communication skills that can adapt to various stakeholders are essential, as is the ability to manage contracts while maintaining good commercial and legal awareness. Strong and multidisciplinary technical expertise, good knowledge of processes and products, and the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts are also required. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to identify, adapt, and execute possible solutions based on experience.
