PhD Positions in Neurotechnology: Next Generation Non-invasive Neurotechnologies & Brain Therapies

The Neurotechnology Group of Prof. Mehmet Fatih Yanik at ETH Zurich is seeking PhD students to join a project focused on advancing non-invasive neurotechnologies and brain therapies. The company is developing a breakthrough technology for targeted drug delivery to the brain, and the role will involve working on this project. The successful candidate will play a central role in the development and translation of the focused ultrasound-mediated targeted drug delivery platform, and may be involved in tasks such as developing next-generation focused ultrasound systems, optimizing targeted drug delivery, and designing custom hardware and software. The project will also involve collaboration with clinicians to prepare first-in-human clinical studies and translation of the technology toward clinical application. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Neuroscience, and possess strong quantitative and analytical skills. Experimental laboratory experience and programming experience are also desirable. The Neurotechnology Group at ETH Zurich provides a leading research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaboration with scientists and clinicians across ETH Zurich and other institutions. The successful candidate will be enrolled as a PhD student in the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, and will have the opportunity to work on a highly interdisciplinary project at the interface of neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and translational medicine.
