Sustainability Manager - Pharma

Quantis, a BCG‑affiliated sustainability consultancy, helps organisations embed environmental science into strategy and action. In this role you will serve as a Sustainability Manager dedicated to client relationships within the pharmaceutical industry, acting as a bridge between business value and sustainability impact. Your daily work will involve steering client engagements and overseeing sizeable accounts and complex pharma projects. You will expand the firm’s footprint by cultivating strategic partnerships, spotting new business opportunities, and co‑creating solutions that align with client sustainability goals. Crafting account strategies, coordinating with internal experts to ensure consistent delivery, and collaborating with senior consultants and junior staff will be central, as will mentoring less‑experienced colleagues and potentially taking on line‑management duties. The position requires four to eight years of relevant experience, preferably in sustainability or consulting for pharma or life‑science firms, and a professional network in that sector. You must understand the key challenges facing pharmaceuticals, have a proven track record in project management, and be proficient with Excel and PowerPoint. A master’s degree—or equivalent experience—in fields such as environmental science, engineering, business or economics is essential, as is fluency in English; French or German are advantageous. You should be intellectually curious, science‑oriented, comfortable using generative‑AI tools, and eager to coach team members. Additional assets include broader corporate sustainability knowledge, familiarity with pharma‑specific sustainability frameworks, and the ambition to lead larger teams and progress toward a Sustainability Principal role.
