Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Crypto Finance Group, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse Group, builds professional digital‑asset solutions for institutional clients, offering trading, custody and wallet services across Switzerland and Germany. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will join a compact QA team that works on the firm’s custom order‑management, infrastructure and risk‑management platforms, based on the 24th‑floor office of the Prime Tower in Zurich. In this role you will be responsible for guaranteeing the reliability of those platforms within a fast‑moving Agile setting. Your daily work will involve creating and evolving automated test frameworks, maintaining test suites, and embedding quality practices into CI/CD pipelines. You will also conduct manual release testing, review both automated and manual outcomes, analyse performance test data, examine logs for irregularities, and report on the overall risk of release candidates. Communicating defects, tracking issue resolution and ensuring that final products meet specifications and user expectations are core parts of the job. The position requires at least five years of software quality‑assurance experience, with strong capabilities in both manual and automated testing. You must have five years of hands‑on Python development for test automation, and comparable experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright. Proficiency in testing REST APIs and micro‑services using tools like Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI, solid knowledge of CI/CD integration, and the ability to debug through log analysis are essential. A technical degree or equivalent experience, fluency in Agile/Scrum collaboration, familiarity with a test‑management system, and excellent communication and documentation skills are also mandatory. Additional assets include experience with performance‑testing tools (e.g., Gatling, k6), container orchestration and cloud environments, and background in trading, fintech or crypto applications. Knowledge of FIX protocol, market connectivity, or an ISTQB‑type certification is a plus.
