Systems Engineer (Solid Rocket Motors and SAFing)

Destinus is looking for a Systems Engineer to steer the design and qualification of energetic subsystems, including solid‑rocket motors, warheads, auxiliary pyrotechnics and safety‑arming‑firing devices, which are essential to the operation of Destinus Effectors. The role sits within the company’s engineering team and is responsible for overseeing the qualification programme from the initial Mission Concept Review through to type qualification, production acceptance and ongoing service monitoring. The day‑to‑day work involves close collaboration with leads in energetics, propulsion, mechanical, electronics and software to embed qualification requirements into a unified system‑level plan. The engineer will craft and keep up‑to‑date the Qualification Data Pack, devise test campaigns and acceptance criteria, and coordinate environmental, mechanical, safety and performance testing to meet NATO AECTP, STANAG and AOP standards. Interaction with end users and customers is required to capture system and subsystem needs, while maintaining traceability of requirements and verification links.
