The University of New South Wales' School of Health Sciences seeks a part‑time Lecturer in Physiotherapy with a focus on cardiorespiratory and acute hospital care. The School's mission is to improve society and individual wellbeing through high‑quality teaching, research and direct health‑care engagement. The role will be based on the Kensington campus in Sydney and will support the Bachelor of Exercise Science and Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology programmes. In this position you will deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions that address cardiorespiratory and acute hospital physiotherapy. You will help shape the curriculum, create learning resources and guide students through assessments. The role also includes providing academic support, mentoring students and contributing to clinical practice discussions that span diverse populations and chronic or neurological conditions. Emphasis is placed on evidence‑based, inclusive teaching and continuous improvement of learning outcomes. The university requires candidates to hold a PhD in a relevant field or comparable professional experience, and to possess full Australian work rights as visa sponsorship is not offered. Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia is mandatory, as is demonstrable clinical experience in cardiorespiratory or acute hospital settings. Applicants must stay current with discipline knowledge, engage in ongoing professional development, and have a record of designing, delivering and evaluating undergraduate or postgraduate courses in the specified area. Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods is also essential, together with clear evidence of teaching effectiveness and a passion for educational excellence. The UNSW campus offers a collaborative academic environment, flexible part‑time hours (21 hours per week) and a range of benefits such as additional Christmas leave, career development opportunities, discounts on courses and retail, and flexible superannuation contributions. While the position is not a full‑time role, it provides a supportive setting for professional growth and the chance to influence future physiotherapy practitioners. What the role asks for: - PhD in a related discipline or equivalent experience - Full work rights for Australia (no visa sponsorship) - AHPRA registration as a physiotherapist in Australia - Clinical experience in cardiorespiratory or acute hospital care - Up‑to‑date discipline knowledge and ongoing professional development - Teaching design, delivery and proven effectiveness at undergraduate/postgraduate level - Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods - (nice-to-have) Knowledge of industry or work‑integrated learning experience
