Global Strategic Sourcing Manager - Packaging, IT & Prof. Services

VAT Group, the world’s leading supplier of high‑performance vacuum valves, is looking for a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead its packaging, IT and professional‑services procurement. The role sits within a multinational team that values integrity, teamwork and innovation, and offers the chance to influence cost, supplier performance and supply‑chain resilience on a global scale. In this position you will create and steer sourcing projects for packaging and selected indirect categories, analysing spend, market conditions and risk to pinpoint value‑creation opportunities. You will devise sourcing strategies, run RFx processes, negotiate contracts, and oversee implementation while collaborating with legal, operations, finance and other functions. The manager also works to develop strategic suppliers, consolidate relationships and apply risk‑mitigation tactics such as diversification. The ideal candidate holds a degree in business, supply‑chain, engineering or a related discipline and brings at least five years of procurement or category‑management experience in a global industrial or technology setting. Proven expertise in packaging sourcing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and fluency in German and English are required. Experience with professional services, IT categories, ERP or e‑sourcing tools, and a track record of influencing stakeholders without formal authority are considered advantageous. The role provides high visibility, autonomy and international exposure within a growing technology company.
