Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (w/m)

They are currently upgrading their entire datacenter and related products, seeking a skilled engineer to drive innovative solutions in this digital transformation. The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they run smoothly and reliably. They will diagnose and fix system problems to minimize disruptions, and automate processes using GitOps. The role involves enhancing and overseeing monitoring tools like Mimir, Loki, and Grafana for system health checks. Collaboration with development teams is key to integrating security best practices and promoting a shift-left approach. Additionally, the SRE will guide junior team members in SRE best practices and participate in future on-call rotations. Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in SRE or DevOps, with strong expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration. Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly in Bash, Go, or Python, is essential. A solid grasp of monitoring tools like Mimir, Loki, and Grafana is required. Familiarity with technologies such as Flux, Cilium, Istio, Kyverno, and Vault is beneficial. Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL, is a plus. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong English communication skills are mandatory; proficiency in German and French is advantageous. The position is based in the Geneva area (Thônex) or Zurich area (Urdorf) and is available immediately or by appointment, with a workload of 80-100%.
