Retail Business Analytics Manager

The Retail Business Analytics Manager will join MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, turning the wealth of retail data generated on the fleet into insights that lift commercial results, sharpen inventory use and guide strategic choices. The position sits at the intersection of sales, finance, operations and digital teams, providing the analytical backbone for the companies’ worldwide retail programme. Each day the manager builds and maintains performance dashboards that track sales, margin, inventory and productivity across ships, boutiques, brands and guest segments. They shape and refine a global KPI framework covering conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction, sell‑through and stock turn, while delivering automated reports that speed up weekly, monthly and seasonal reviews. The role also supports demand forecasting by analysing trends, seasonality and itinerary effects, recommends allocation and replenishment actions, monitors margin and pricing consistency, evaluates promotional impact and contributes to budgeting, open‑to‑buy governance and profitability assessments. In partnership with IT and digital groups, they improve data availability, ensure data quality and help move reporting from manual spreadsheets toward automated analytics, acting as a trusted analytical partner for category managers and retail leadership. Candidates must bring five to ten years of experience in retail analytics, merchandise planning, business intelligence or commercial performance, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, travel retail or multi‑store environments. A strong track record of analysing sales, inventory and profitability data and of constructing dashboards and reporting structures is essential.
