CAD Application Specialist (all genders)

The company employs more than 1,700 specialists across 13 sites in six nations, and the CAD Application Specialist will become part of its Engineering Applications IT group, a nine‑person team that sustains the software tools engineers rely on. In this position you will install, configure, run and maintain the mechanical‑design platforms CATIA V5 and Siemens NX. Your duties include guaranteeing smooth roll‑outs, overseeing the full product lifecycle, handling integrations with Teamcenter PLM, and providing tier‑1 to tier‑3 assistance for any CAD‑related incidents. You will also support user‑driven enhancements, manage design‑BOM structures, take part in user‑acceptance and system testing, keep configuration records up to date, and deliver training to key stakeholders while continuously seeking ways to boost system reliability and efficiency. The role requires a university degree in engineering, IT or a comparable discipline, proven expertise in setting up and supporting CATIA V5 and/or NX, and a solid understanding of CAD workflows, product structures and change‑management processes. Experience delivering L1‑L3 application support and a basic grasp of PLM integrations are essential, as is fluency in English; German language skills are considered a plus. Certifications or training related to Siemens Teamcenter are advantageous. Additional assets include prior work with MCAD‑Teamcenter links, background in aerospace or regulated manufacturing, and familiarity with the flow of data from engineering to production.
