Global S&OP & Long-Term Planning Lead

Biogen is seeking a Global S&OP & Long‑Term Planning Lead to steer the integration of commercial strategy, supply‑chain planning, finance and growth initiatives. As a senior member of the Global Supply Chain Planning Operations team, the leader will shape governance, standards and the playbook for S&OP across the organization, supporting Biogen’s Vision 2030. The role involves overseeing the global S&OP cadence, running regional executive forums with Business Operations, Finance, Demand Planning and GSC leaders, and ensuring consistent KPIs, assumptions and decision‑making. The incumbent will direct the annual Long‑Term Planning cycle, translate strategy into capacity needs, embed S&OP outputs into financial and operational plans, and drive the shift toward enterprise‑wide Integrated Business Planning. Additional duties include leading transformation projects, coaching S&OP leaders, collaborating with IT on technology roadmaps, and applying data, analytics and emerging tools to enhance planning quality. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and bring at least 12 years of progressive experience in global forecasting, demand planning, supply‑chain or manufacturing within pharma or FMCG, with a proven record of designing or transforming IBP/S&OP at scale. Required skills include transformational leadership, change management, scenario and capacity planning, strong financial acumen, familiarity with AI/ML, digital twins, advanced analytics, ERP and planning systems, and an APICS certification is preferred. An advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain) and experience leading enterprise‑wide IBP transformation are advantageous. The position is global, requiring collaboration across cultures, functions and time zones.
