Palantir Foundry Engineer (Zurich or Lausanne, Switzerland)

Unit8, founded in 2017, is a rapidly expanding Swiss consultancy that helps traditional sectors such as automotive, chemicals, finance, manufacturing and pharma adopt AI and data‑science solutions. As a Palantir Foundry Engineer based in Zurich or Lausanne, you will join an agile project team that designs, builds and maintains sophisticated data infrastructures for a range of European clients. Your daily work will revolve around creating, deploying and debugging complex data pipelines on the Foundry platform, using both open‑source and proprietary tools. You will focus on ensuring high data quality through optimisation, testing and tooling, while collaborating with software engineers, machine‑learning specialists and business stakeholders in a cross‑functional, iterative environment. The role requires at least one year of hands‑on experience with Palantir Foundry, including familiarity with AIP, Workshop, code repositories and Pipeline Builder, as well as a solid grasp of Foundry security concepts such as restricted views and markings. Proficiency in Python and PySpark is essential, and you must be comfortable presenting to both technical and business audiences and solving client problems. Regular travel to client sites and team meetings, amounting to roughly ten percent of your time, is also expected. Additional assets include knowledge of data modelling and basic data‑science techniques like classification, clustering or regression. The position offers exposure to diverse industries, a mentorship programme, dedicated time for personal development, profit‑sharing, extended parental leave and a “Fun Fund” for team activities, all within a start‑up‑like atmosphere across multiple offices.
