Energy Engineer PV (Mexico-based)

Green Energy Venture, a division of oe energy, specializes in consulting and services across the renewable energy sector. The company operates globally, focusing on engineering, transaction management, and high-level services crucial for renewable energy projects. They manage over 8 GW of projects, from development to grid connection. The Energy Engineer PV role involves overseeing renewable energy projects, including portfolios of PV and BESS. This includes all related activities and communications, both internally and externally. The engineer will conduct economic modeling and feasibility assessments for high-tech renewable energy concepts. They will also evaluate various design scenarios to determine the best technology and design for specific cases. Additionally, the role involves preparing documentation and presentations for banks, investors, and other stakeholders. The engineer will create, revise, and review construction plans for ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants, perform electrical design and power loss calculations, and conduct energy yield assessments using PVsyst. Site visits and quality assessments are also part of the responsibilities. To qualify, candidates must have a Master's degree or equivalent in environmental, systems, or electrical engineering, energy technology, and/or energy efficiency. At least three years of experience working with large-scale PV systems and BESS is required. Proficiency in the latest renewable energy technologies is essential. Candidates must be able to produce technical reports professionally and work independently with AutoCAD and PVsyst. Knowledge of Python, EPLAN, MATLAB, and other simulation tools is beneficial. Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory, with additional languages being a plus. The role requires a willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time. The ideal candidate is well-organized, service-oriented, and able to work independently with a quick comprehension of tasks. An interest in an international and dynamic work environment is also important.
