Test Engineer

Hyperscale Power develops the power backbone for the AI data‑center era, delivering a complete conversion chain from medium‑voltage AC (13.8 kV, 35 kV) down to 800 V DC using ultra‑compact SiC‑based modules. As a Test Engineer you will shape the testing strategy for this breakthrough platform, reporting directly to the CTO and engineering leadership while working from the company's headquarters in Egg b. Zürich, Switzerland. Your daily work will involve designing and executing comprehensive test plans for both AC/DC and DC/DC converters, covering functional, stability, endurance (soak) and load tests. You will build and maintain medium‑voltage test benches for prototype, pilot and production units, and develop automation scripts to increase coverage and reduce manual effort. Collaboration with Power Electronics, Firmware, EMC/Compliance and Mechanical engineers is essential to diagnose failures, while you document procedures, results and maintain traceability for certification and quality purposes. You will also support prototype validation, qualification testing for Alpha customers, and define end‑of‑line test equipment for volume production. The role requires a BSc or MSc in electrical engineering or a comparable field, at least three years of test‑engineering experience, preferably with power electronics or medium‑voltage systems, and hands‑on familiarity with high‑power test setups and safety protocols. You must be comfortable scripting test automation (Python or similar), understand key power‑electronics test methods (efficiency, thermal, load, stability), and possess strong documentation and analytical abilities. Fluent English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
