Senior HPC and AI Network Software Architect

NVIDIA, a leader in graphics, gaming and accelerated computing, is expanding its AI infrastructure and seeks a Senior HPC and AI Network Software Architect. The position focuses on creating the next generation of scalable systems that support distributed training, real‑time inference and efficient communication across massive clusters. The day‑to‑day work involves shaping the architecture of software that drives large‑scale AI workloads, emphasizing throughput, latency, resiliency and memory use. You will design and test new communication and runtime features in libraries such as NCCL, UCX and UCC, and work closely with framework teams like TensorFlow, PyTorch and JAX to integrate and improve performance. Collaboration extends to hardware and system groups to enhance data movement across GPUs, DPUs and interconnects, turning innovative concepts into reliable, production‑ready implementations. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or comparable industry experience in computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline, and bring at least five years of systems programming, parallel or distributed computing, high‑performance networking or large‑scale data movement experience. Proficiency in C++, Python and preferably CUDA or other GPU programming models is required, along with a proven record of delivering performance‑critical software. Hands‑on work with AI frameworks and a deep understanding of communication libraries and runtime systems are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively in a multinational, interdisciplinary environment. Preferred expertise includes in‑depth knowledge of NCCL, UCX, UCC, RDMA, collective communications and accelerator‑aware networking, as well as experience with hardware‑software co‑design for distributed AI. Familiarity with large‑model training, LLM deployment techniques and advanced parallelism strategies will further distinguish candidates.
