Swissquote Site Reliability Engineer - eFX/ Crypto

Swissquote is seeking a hands‑on Site Reliability Engineer to keep its production eFX and cryptocurrency platforms reliable, available, scalable and performant. The company operates both on‑premise and private‑cloud infrastructure and expects the SRE to work closely with Infrastructure and Development engineers to continuously improve the environment. On a daily basis the engineer will monitor production systems, react to incidents and ensure optimal uptime. They will operate, maintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications, design and implement scalable infrastructure, and automate routine IT tasks. Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, enhancing observability with Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic/Kibana, performing root‑cause analysis, and conducting stress, resilience and disaster‑recovery tests are also core duties. Participation in an on‑call rotation and collaboration with other teams to raise production readiness round out the responsibilities. The role requires at least three years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Systems or Platform Engineering and proven, hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes in production. Strong Linux administration and Docker/container skills are essential, as is experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. The candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English and be willing to learn French. Good scripting abilities in Python or Shell and a solid grasp of networking fundamentals are also mandatory. Nice‑to‑have attributes include a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification, and familiarity with Helm, Argo CD or other Kubernetes operators. Experience with high‑availability, low‑latency systems, financial‑services domains such as eFX or crypto, and knowledge of messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ are considered advantageous but not required.
