Jewellery Product Development Senior Manager

The Jewellery Product Development Senior Manager will turn creative ideas into market‑ready jewellery collections for MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, partnering with the in‑house Jewellery Designer, the Head of Watches & Jewellery, and external industrial partners. This senior position sits at the heart of the Group’s exclusive retail offering, ensuring each line aligns with the positioning of the cruise brands. Each day the manager drives the full development cycle, from validating concepts to launching finished pieces. Responsibilities include steering the product calendar, overseeing prototypes, technical drawings, sampling and production approvals, and guaranteeing that every item meets quality, cost and timing targets. The role also manages relationships with manufacturers, evaluates and onboards new suppliers, and coordinates technical collaboration between designers and factories. Ongoing portfolio stewardship involves balancing categories, materials, price points and customer segments, analysing sales data, and shaping long‑term collection roadmaps while supporting seasonal updates and limited‑edition releases. Candidates must bring more than eight years of experience in jewellery product development, collection or product management, with a proven track record of working alongside jewellery manufacturers and production partners. A deep knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials, craftsmanship and quality standards is essential, as are strong project‑management and organisational skills for handling development calendars and supplier coordination. Experience in the luxury jewellery sector is highly desirable.
