The main day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing accounting and financial reporting, preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, and developing and improving internal controls and governance frameworks. The role also involves conducting financial due diligence, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements. Additionally, the Real Estate Controller will partner with various internal and external stakeholders, including Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Facilities Management teams, as well as external auditors and property managers. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial controlling, real estate finance, or real estate accounting within an international environment is required. Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles, including lease accounting under IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842, is essential. Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and advanced Excel skills are also necessary. Fluency in English is required. Nice-to-have skills include experience with reporting and BI tools, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
