The Performance and Optimisation Manager role at MSC Cruises is centred on boosting the commercial results of the company's worldwide fleet. You will turn large, complex data sets into clear strategic insights and practical recommendations, working hand‑in‑hand with the Deployment, Revenue Management, Commercial Planning and Finance groups to evaluate how itineraries and deployment choices affect revenue, profit and guest satisfaction. On a daily basis you will build driver‑based performance and economic models that link deployment decisions to revenue potential, operating costs, fuel use, emissions, port fees and overall contribution. You will keep a close eye on key performance indicators for each ship, route, region and season, spot gaps and root causes, and translate those findings into concrete actions. Your work will also involve creating forward‑looking indicators and early‑warning tools, supporting scenario testing, comparing expected versus actual economic impact after implementation, and maintaining a pipeline of quantified optimisation opportunities. Collaboration with Finance and Revenue Management will ensure that assumptions, metric definitions and benefit calculations stay aligned across the organisation. To succeed you need a university degree in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Hospitality, Marketing or a closely related discipline, together with proven experience in commercial analytics, revenue management, onboard revenue, performance improvement or business intelligence. A deep grasp of guest behaviour, revenue drivers, conversion, yield and service profitability is essential, as is the ability to turn analytical findings into interventions that can be financially validated. Fluent English is required, and you must be proficient with advanced SQL, business‑intelligence platforms or statistical analysis tools; knowledge of Python is considered an advantage. MSC Cruises is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where every employee feels respected and empowered to bring their authentic self to work. The company aims to generate lasting, positive effects for guests, staff and the planet, and offers the chance to join a global team that constantly pushes boundaries and seeks remarkable achievements. If you are ready to channel your passion for data‑driven performance into a role that shapes the future of cruising, this is the opportunity to embark on. What the role asks for: - Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Hospitality, Marketing or related field - Experience in commercial analytics, revenue management, onboard revenue or BI - Strong understanding of guest behavior, revenue drivers, conversion and yield - Fluent English - Advanced SQL, BI or statistical analysis skills - Python knowledge (nice‑to‑have)
