Senior Policy Manager

The Senior Policy Manager will join an organization dedicated to cutting poverty by making sure that public policies rest on solid scientific evidence. The group advances its mission through a blend of research, policy advising, large‑scale engagement and capacity‑building programmes, and it is linked to the J‑PAL network, which has overseen more than two thousand randomized studies across a hundred nations. In this position the manager will help turn research outputs into actionable policy guidance. Work will involve shaping insights on a range of topics that the organization highlights, such as using mobile phones to support learning in hard‑to‑reach environments, designing rigorous impact evaluations, exploring reforms that curb crime and conflict, and crafting payments for ecosystem services that deliver climate benefits at low cost. The role calls for close collaboration with researchers, programme staff and external partners to ensure that evidence is accurately interpreted and effectively communicated to decision‑makers. The posting does not list specific qualifications, language skills or certifications, nor does it mention particular preferred abilities or details about the workplace setting. It does note the breadth of the evidence base the team draws on—over 2,300 completed or ongoing evaluations—suggesting a data‑rich environment where the senior manager can contribute to a global portfolio of policy‑relevant research.
