Learning Support Assistants

La Côte International School (LCIS) is a co‑educational, English‑language day school in Aubonne, Switzerland, serving about 450 students aged 3‑18. As a Learning Support Assistant (Student Shadow) you will work directly in primary and secondary classrooms, providing on‑the‑spot help to pupils with additional learning needs. Your day will involve motivating students, encouraging clear communication, clarifying instructions, assisting with task completion, supervising group activities and keeping teachers, the SEN department and parents informed about each child's progress. The role requires 1‑3 years of experience in a comparable position, a relevant degree and fluency in English. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, discretion and a collaborative attitude, as well as an empathetic, calm, positive, motivational, creative and flexible personal style. You must be available throughout the school day and week, reside locally and hold a clear criminal record. A working knowledge of French is considered an asset.
