Industrialization Design Engineer

Sécheron Hasler Group, a Swiss‑engineered leader with more than a century‑and‑a‑half of history, supplies high‑power electrical and electronic equipment for railways, renewable energy, grid networks and industrial systems. Within its Electrical Safety Solutions unit, the Industrialization Design Engineer will help turn new safety components—from circuit breakers to voltage limiters—into reliable, mass‑produced products that protect critical infrastructure worldwide. The daily work revolves around mechanical design and the full industrialization chain. You will create and keep up‑to‑date 3‑D models, drawings, Bills of Materials and technical files using SolidWorks, PLM tools and Oracle ERP. Tasks include supporting prototype builds, validating industrial processes, guiding production ramp‑up, handling Engineering Change Orders, and troubleshooting manufacturing problems on the shop floor. You will also apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles, investigate non‑conformities, and drive continuous‑improvement projects while ensuring documentation remains accurate and traceable. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field and bring at least five years of experience in mechanical design, industrialization or manufacturing engineering. Proven expertise with SolidWorks, ERP/PLM environments (Oracle, preferably Audros), and management of BOMs and engineering changes is required. A solid grasp of machining, sheet‑metal work, assembly processes, DFM/DFA, and ISO quality standards is essential, as are strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. Fluency in English and the ability to communicate in French are mandatory. A master’s degree in a related discipline, experience in multicultural, multi‑site settings, and knowledge of additional languages are considered advantageous.
