Caterpillar Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer of heavy‑duty equipment and related services, dedicated to building stronger, more sustainable communities. The company is looking for a Europe Manager Marketing Communications to steer its customer‑growth initiatives across the continent, translating global brand direction into locally resonant campaigns. In this position you will shape and deliver full‑funnel marketing programmes that span digital outreach, public relations, events, creative production and direct customer interaction. You will craft integrated strategies that link market insights and competitive intelligence to clear value propositions for Caterpillar's machines, services and technology. Managing a high‑performing team, you will oversee budget allocation, agency and vendor relationships, and ensure that every activity is measured against clear business outcomes. Collaboration with dealers, global business units and cross‑functional partners will be essential to adapt worldwide plans for European markets and to create seamless experiences from brand awareness through ownership and advocacy. The ideal candidate brings a solid academic foundation with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a comparable discipline. A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably within industrial, construction, manufacturing, automotive, OEM or retail environments, is required. Fluency in English is mandatory, and the role demands a valid Swiss work permit or citizenship within Switzerland, the EU‑25 or EFTA. The position involves travelling between 25 % and 50 % of the time, balancing on‑site presence at the office with visits to markets, events and dealer locations. Additional assets include fluency in one or more European languages such as French, Italian or German, and a proven track record of leading integrated digital and demand‑generation initiatives. Experience in orchestrating large‑scale customer events, trade shows and brand activation programmes is highly valued, as is the ability to leverage data‑driven insights and emerging technologies to boost marketing efficiency. The role sits within a matrixed organisation that encourages collaboration, innovation and continuous learning, offering the chance to influence a global brand while advancing personal leadership capabilities. What the role asks for: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field. - 10+ years progressive marketing experience. - Fluent English proficiency. - Valid Swiss work permit or Swiss/EU‑25/EFTA citizenship. - Travel 25‑50 % of working time. - Proficiency in French, Italian or German is highly desirable. - Proven experience leading integrated digital and demand‑generation campaigns. - Strong background in large‑scale events, trade shows and brand activation.
