Internship - DAT Industrialization

The internship, DAT Industrialization places you inside a global leader in engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, headquartered in Zurich. The firm boasts nine decades of experience and a worldwide network that supports airlines, OEMs and component suppliers across Europe, the United States, Asia and the Middle East. As a newcomer to the corporate environment, you will join the Industrialization unit, contributing to projects that shape shop‑floor layouts, capacity extensions and overall plant growth. Your everyday work will involve analysing the present shop layout, gathering feedback from operations, and suggesting redesigns backed by data. You will draft industrialisation proposals, discuss them with operational managers, and map material and information flows to spot bottlenecks. Using specialised industrialisation tools, you will present decisions to relevant parties, monitor the rollout on the floor, and help standardise procedures to boost efficiency and reliability within the SRT process. The position requires you to be enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable discipline. Strong command of Microsoft Office applications is essential, as is the ability to communicate in English or German at a B1/B2 level, both written and spoken. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in the aerospace MRO sector, be eligible to work in Switzerland, and possess solid interpersonal, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, together with the capacity to operate with minimal supervision. Additional assets include familiarity with CAD tools, Power BI, Power Apps and SAP, as well as an understanding of Lean and continuous‑improvement concepts. The role is based in Zurich, offering exposure to an international team of engineers, mechanics and improvement leads. The internship runs full‑time for up to one year, starts immediately, and is open to holders of an EU passport, Swiss passport or a Swiss work permit.
