Lean Industrialization Manager

Jet Aviation, a global provider of aircraft management, charter, completions and maintenance services, is expanding its Basel base. The company looks for a Lean Industrialization Manager to help shape how intricate aviation projects are executed across engineering, production, MRO and completions streams. The role sits at the heart of the operation, turning lean theory into tangible gains for a network that spans more than 50 locations worldwide. In this position you will spend each day on the shop floor, spotting bottlenecks, waste and slow steps in current workflows. You will design and roll out lean interventions that lift output, cut cycle times and streamline layouts. The job involves running hands‑on workshops, guiding cross‑functional teams through structured problem‑solving, and using key performance data to verify that changes stick and deliver the expected improvements. The ideal candidate holds a university qualification in a technical discipline such as industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering. You have worked professionally in a manufacturing or industrialisation setting, applying process optimisation or continuous‑improvement methods. A solid grasp of shop‑floor activities and production flow is essential, as is a proven record of analysing existing practices and delivering measurable efficiency gains. You thrive when you can get directly involved with operators and technicians, translating analysis into workable solutions. Strong analytical abilities, a knack for uncovering root causes and the capacity to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders are required. Fluency in English is mandatory. The position is based on‑site in Basel, offering a dynamic, international environment where collaboration across engineers, technicians, supervisors and quality specialists is the norm. While the core duties focus on lean execution, familiarity with additional languages, Lean or Six Sigma certifications, and knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards, layout optimisation, tooling and workstation design are considered valuable assets that can further enhance your impact.
