The Scrum Master will join the PCR Hardware Abstraction team, part of an Agile Release Train (ART) following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The team develops C++ based real-time control software for the mechatronics, thermal, fluidic, and optical subsystems of in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) PCR instruments. The Scrum Master will facilitate team progress, resolve issues, and enhance workplace transparency. They will coach the software development team, applying Agile techniques to foster conflict resolution, situational awareness, and continuous improvement. The role involves collaborating with self-organizing teams to define, estimate, and plan high-impact work packages. The Scrum Master will use modern AI-supporting tools throughout the development lifecycle to optimize coding, testing, and troubleshooting workflows. Ensuring compliance with processes, proposing improvements, and staying informed about regulatory and market standards are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have a technical degree, at least four years of experience as a Scrum Master, and a certification in Scrum methodologies such as CSM or PSMI. Proficiency in Git and a basic understanding of C++ programming are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to connect teams and resolve conflicts, are crucial. The candidate should be highly motivated, deadline-focused, and proactive in their approach. Experience in regulated environments and a willingness to write thorough documentation are also required. Fluency in English is mandatory. Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or IVDR standards, event-driven architectures, and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Domain Driven Design is beneficial. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for CI/build environments, as well as experience in agile development environments, is a plus. German language skills are also desirable. The role is based in Rotkreuz, with a minimum workload of 50% and a maximum of 80%, with the possibility of 100% if open to further activities in software development or other areas. Home office is available, with 1-2 days required on-site depending on the workload. The position offers a start date of 1.11.2026, with the latest possible start date being 1.1.2027. The planned duration of employment is one year, with a likely extension.
