The Head of Professional Services, EMEA role is pivotal at Benchling, a company dedicated to revolutionizing biotech research and development through AI. The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Head of Professional Services, EMEA involve overseeing the growth and excellence of the professional services team in Europe. This includes ensuring successful Benchling deployments, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and maximizing the value clients derive from the company's products. The role requires strategic leadership and hands-on execution to align services with business objectives and client needs. Additionally, the position involves partnering with the Customer Experience organization and broader Sales teams to drive Benchling's growth. The role also includes managing relationships with systems integrator and delivery partners, as well as owning the scoping, staffing, and financial performance for the EMEA Professional Services book of business. To excel in this role, candidates must have at least eight years of experience in professional services, implementation, or delivery leadership roles within enterprise software, with a strong preference for experience in life sciences, pharma, biotech, or scientific software. Fluency in English is required, with additional European languages such as German or French being a strong plus. Candidates should also have a proven track record of leading distributed teams across multiple European countries and managing delivery through third-party systems integrator partners. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interface with VP and C-Level Scientific & Research IT leaders are essential. Nice-to-have skills include a genuine enthusiasm for AI-enabled delivery models. The role is based in Europe, with a focus in Zurich and London/Cambridge, and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement. Employees are expected to be on-site three days per week.
