Technical Analyst - PL/SQL Developer (Banking Area)

The opening is for a Technical Analyst‑PL/SQL Developer who will join the Lugano office and work on banking‑focused, international projects within the Financial Services domain. The day‑to‑day work revolves around translating client requests into clear, structured specifications and proposing optimal technical solutions. The developer will design, code, document and maintain PL/SQL components, carry out implementation and testing of new features, and handle issue analysis, bug fixing and change requests during the testing phase. Close collaboration with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, business analysts and fellow engineers is required to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines. Fincons expects candidates to hold a scientific degree or master's, preferably in computer science, engineering or a comparable field. Applicants must have demonstrable experience in the banking sector and a solid track record of PL/SQL development. Strong analytical abilities to turn technical requirements into robust, maintainable code are essential. Proficiency in both spoken and written Italian and English is mandatory. Additional assets include familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards (MT or MX), Java/J2EE programming capabilities, and an understanding of ETL processes, database management systems, relational databases and SQL. The role is based in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, and while remote work is not offered, relocation to the region or nearby Italian border areas is expected.
