Avaloq Technical Developer

The role of Avaloq Technical Developer is within a private bank in Zurich, focusing on the Avaloq Core Banking Platform. The bank, known for its international environment and strong emphasis on wealth management, is currently enhancing various areas of its platform, including trading and securities-related components. The main day-to-day responsibilities involve configuring and adapting Avaloq Core components based on business and technical requirements. This includes developing and maintaining Avaloq functionality using technologies like Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, and related tools. The role also entails taking ownership of assigned Avaloq components, supporting them throughout their lifecycle, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the developer will build expertise in trading and STEX, focusing on order processing and related securities components. To qualify for this position, candidates must have an Avaloq certification, such as ACCP or Certified Avaloq Professional, and first-hand experience working with Avaloq Core, particularly in parameterisation or customisation. Basic experience with Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, SQL, or similar development technologies is essential. A technical or quantitative education, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, is required. Professional working proficiency in English and a willingness to relocate to Zurich if not already based there are also must-haves. Nice-to-have skills include experience with STEX/Stacks or other trading and securities-related Avaloq components, as well as an understanding of order management, transaction processing, or securities trading. Previous experience with additional Avaloq modules beyond Payments and a background in banking, wealth management, or financial services are also beneficial.
