D&T IT Project Manager

The position of D&T IT Project Manager is based in Geneva and belongs to the Digital & Tech Division of dsm‑firmenich. In this role you will oversee a portfolio of initiatives that support research‑and‑development as well as commercial laboratory activities across the European affiliate. Your everyday duties will involve steering several projects at once, guaranteeing that each stays within the agreed timeline and budget. You will design work plans, allocate tasks to appropriate specialists, and monitor progress against milestones. Reporting on status to stakeholders, aligning deliverables with corporate objectives, and preparing presentations and written updates are also part of the routine. Additionally, you will collaborate with proposal groups to draft cost estimates and detailed project outlines, while keeping the team focused on final outcomes. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's qualification in project management, computer science, information technology or a comparable discipline. Proven background in the life‑science or pharmaceutical sector, either as a project manager or as an IT solution implementation lead for R&D, is essential. Hands‑on familiarity with laboratory information systems such as LIMS and electronic lab notebooks is required, together with solid problem‑solving capabilities. A good grasp of PMI‑aligned methodologies, experience with Agile frameworks, and strong people‑leadership qualities are also mandatory. Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills, the capacity to juggle multiple initiatives, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Project) and fluency in English complete the core profile.
