AI Engineer

ParetoLabs, a Zurich-based AI software company, is seeking a passionate (Senior) AI Engineer to join their expanding team. The company specializes in creating customized AI applications for conversation, knowledge, and process automation, serving leading Swiss companies across various industries. Their solutions range from intelligent assistants and enterprise search to agentic AI and next-generation voice applications. The main responsibilities of the AI Engineer role involve designing, building, and continuously improving production-grade AI applications. This includes developing robust Python backend services, APIs, and integrations, as well as building intelligent agents and end-to-end AI workflows. The engineer will also take ownership of bringing AI solutions into production, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization. Additionally, the role involves designing scalable and reliable cloud architectures, evaluating and integrating new AI technologies, and collaborating closely with other engineers, product teams, and customers. To excel in this role, candidates must have a solid foundation in computer science and extensive experience as a full-stack developer with a strong focus on backend technologies, particularly Python. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular is also required. Proficiency in DevOps, including Shell Scripting, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud services (AWS, Azure), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Server Provisioning, and Monitoring & Alerting techniques, is essential. A good understanding of networking, databases, backup strategies, and disaster recovery scenarios is also necessary. Nice-to-have skills include being an open-minded, solution-oriented team player who thrives in collaborative environments. Excellent communication skills in English or German are crucial for interacting effectively with clients and team members.
