Legal Engineer – German-speaking

Omnilex is an AI‑native platform that helps lawyers boost productivity in research and automate routine workflows. The company has grown from an early MVP to a solution used daily by thousands of legal professionals across Switzerland, Germany and Liechtenstein, and is now scaling throughout Europe. As a Legal Engineer, German‑speaking you will join a young, dynamic team of 17 people with roots at ETH Zurich, taking on a pivotal role in expanding the platform from pilot projects to firm‑wide deployments. In this high‑impact, high‑autonomy position you will own the testing and rollout process for Omnilex's most strategic accounts. You will work closely with law firms to embed the solution into their everyday practices, identify and eliminate adoption blockers, and act as the champion who guides each client from pilot to full deployment. Your day will also involve translating lawyers' pain points into clear, prioritized product feedback, regularly syncing with the engineering team to convey the legal context behind every request, and spotting recurring patterns that signal broader product improvements. Additionally, you will lead working sessions, webinars and written materials that explain new features in legal rather than technical language. The role requires a solid legal background, either a law degree or equivalent experience inside a law firm or legal department, and a deep understanding of how decisions are made within law firms. You must be comfortable speaking with senior lawyers in client meetings and collaborating with engineers in product syncs, taking ownership of outcomes rather than merely managing activities. Precise communication is essential, as both lawyers and engineers will rely on your explanations. Fluency in German and English is mandatory, and you need either a Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship to be eligible. A background in LegalTech or AI‑driven SaaS solutions is considered a valuable plus.
